A place for people of faith and no-faith to explore shared values, build respect and mutually inspiring relationships, and pursue common action for the common good

Better Together

Welcome to Elmhurst College’s Better Together Campaign. The Better Together Campaign is a nation-wide campaign, sponsored by the Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core and currently taking root at over one hundred college campuses across the nation. Each campus is focusing their campaign around a specific issue, here at Elmhurst we are focusing on hunger and food justice issues, working with the People’s Resource Center.

The campaign introduces a central question, “What if people from different backgrounds and faith traditions took action together to change the world?” As a College of the United Church of Christ, we are committed to both diversity and service, and we seek to bring these aspects together in the work of our Better Together Campaign. In our work, we hope to bring interfaith cooperation and engagement to the forefront of campus life by bringing our university and community together around the common issue of hunger in DuPage County.

If you have any questions about the campaign, please feel free to contact our IFYC Campus Fellow Rae Nelson or email us at ecinterfaith[at]gmail[dot]com.

Please stay posted for updates and news in regards to the progress of the campaign. We hope that you will join us in our work this year as we strive to make our university and community truly Better Together!

Sincerely,

The Better Together Campaign Steering Committee
